![]() I was introduced to Pilates as a client, to help manage the health of my knee joints. I was so impressed with my overall outcomes that I pursued instructor level certification with STOTT PILATES®. Since my initial STOTT's training, I actively continue to expand the breadth of my knowledge as I hone my skills.
I very much enjoy being a trainer! I obtain great satisfaction from working with my clients and seeing their delight as they experience their progress. My personal background as a sports enthusiast, and my life experience of having had both a knee and a hip replaced, help me bring an empathetic and practical approach to your training sessions. I have been at both ends of the spectrum - I know what it’s like to be in great shape; I also know what it is like to struggle with daily activities, when moving is painful. I absolutely appreciate the sheer joy of confident and comfortable physical movement and work towards this goal for all my clients. I bring a mix of good humour and laughter to my sessions. On a personal note, I am an avid golfer, cyclist, swimmer, canoeist, tennis player and Karate instructor. I've enjoyed years of Alpine skiing but haven't hit the slopes in a few years - both my wife and orthopaedic surgeon suggest it might be a bit risky with my two "new" joints. |
